// Indie rocker who actually sings, not sing. We’re hating on judges Pharrell and Adam ever since they booted out Taylor Phelan. But this isn’t gonna be about them but about the one who got eliminated before his time. Taylor Phelan’s cover of Sweather Weather during the blind auditions of The Voice 2014 was phenomenal. It has since been added to our playlist and do note that our playlists are also fussily curated. Despite being wanted by all four judges, his journey came to an early end when he didn’t make it past the first live rounds.
Instrmnt Watch (pronounced as Instrument) is a year long project by the trio from Glasgow which saw a very successful Kickstarter campaign and it garnered more than £90,000 from the community. Kickstarted by Pete Sunderland, Ross Baynham and Thomas Potter, its design boasts of a very sleek and minimalistic look which we are absolutely obsessed about. We have always been on the lookout for watches which are simple, tells the time and the date. That’s all. We didn’t need elements found in a chronograph watch like the metered bezels, rattrapantes and flybacks.
What better way to start off our first post than with what we stand for, our ideals. We found what defined us with the help of a song. Paolo Nutini, a scottish singer-songwriter exudes soul in his tone. His single Iron Sky simply struck a chord with us. Everyone has their story. Paolo was trying to convey his message to politicians in general. Whereby questions that need answers are answered with a certain arrogance, with a laugh and a smile, and it’s sad.
